What is aesthetics?

What I have gathered through some quick research is that aesthetics truly has no one specific definition. What aesthetics is in photography is based on the individual taking the photograph, it is what they constitute as 'beauty'. What makes the photo beautiful. Photography is a form of an art and aesthetics is really what makes up the art. For some people this may be what draws your eye to the photograph such as specific colors or a specific scene.
